Ingredients
- 400 g sausage meat or sausages (casings removed)
- 1 sheet ready-rolled puff pastry
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- Sesame seeds (optional, for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 °C and line a tray with baking paper.
- Cut the puff pastry sheet in half lengthwise. Spread the sausage meat evenly down the center of each strip.
- Roll up each strip and seal the long edge with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds (if using).
- Slice each long roll into small bite-sized pieces (about 3–4 cm each).
- Place on the tray and bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
Extra ideas
- Add a little grated cheese or finely chopped onion to the sausage meat
- Serve with ketchup or BBQ sauce on the side
