8 Marie biscuits or Tennis biscuits
4 large marshmallows
2–4 teaspoons chocolate spread (optional)
Place 4 biscuits on a microwave-safe plate. Put 1 marshmallow in the centre of each biscuit. Microwave on high for 10–15 seconds at a time..
Watch closely — the marshmallows will puff up and become soft. They’re ready when they look big, soft, and slightly gooey (usually about 20–30 seconds total, depending on your microwave). If using chocolate spread, quickly spread a little onto the inside of the remaining biscuits while the marshmallows are heating.
Carefully remove the plate from the microwave (it may be hot). Place a second biscuit on top of each melted marshmallow. Gently press down so the marshmallow spreads to the edges. Let them sit for 1–2 minutes (the filling will be very hot). Enjoy while warm and gooey.
Tip:
Marshmallows get VERY hot inside — always let them cool slightly before eating.
