It’s time for another Mom Chat Monday

I can’t think of many things more nerve-wracking than when your child needs a medical procedure, whether it’s a big operation or just something small. That feeling of worry, wishing you could take their place, and trying to keep it together for them… it’s tough.

Last week, I had to take my son to have a tooth pulled (I know, nothing major

) but while I was chatting with him about what was going to happen, trying to make it sound not so scary and secretly using the “tooth fairy’s coming!”

, I couldn’t help but think…

How do parents handle bigger things?
How do you explain what’s going to happen without causing fear and still help them feel brave and safe?
And maybe the hardest part, how do we as parents stay calm and brave when our hearts are racing?

I was brave for my son but I hated watching the process and just hoping my son is really okay, he didn’t even flinch

I’d really love to hear your thoughts and stories today, whether it’s about helping your little one through something scary or how you kept it together when they needed you most.
