Buttery, garlicky, cheesy bites that disappear faster than you can make them! Perfect with soup, pasta, braai, or just on their own.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ cup grated cheese

Method

  1. Cut bread into circles and press into muffin tins.
  2. Mix butter and garlic powder, brush over bread.
  3. Sprinkle cheese and bake at 180 °C for 10–12 minutes.

Pro Tips

  • Use a large glass or cookie cutter to get perfect circles.
  • Add a pinch of dried parsley or oregano to the butter for extra flavour.
  • For stronger garlic kick, use 2 fresh cloves (minced) instead of powder.
  • Make ahead: Prepare up to step 2, cover and refrigerate, bake when needed.
  • Freezer-friendly: Bake, cool completely, freeze, then reheat at 180 °C for 5–6 min.
